Answering some common questions

About relationship coaching

What does a relationship coach do?

A relationship coach is someone who supports and guides couples (and individuals) in learning vital skills for improving relationships, especially in marriages and romantic partnerships.

Relationship coaches teach you to develop conflict resolution skills and offer tools to deepen intimacy and romance.

Is a relationship coach worth it?

Relationship coaching is definitely not right for a couple who is working through trauma or serious mental health issues – that requires a specialist therapist. But it can help address issues happening within a relationship like communication, trust, parenting, or stress.

How much does a relationship coach cost?

Relationship coaches charge anywhere from $50 an hour to more than $300 an hour, depending on their experience and location. For more information about my pricing, click here.

How is coaching different from Therapy?

Generally speaking, coaching is more focused on helping you achieve your future goals by identifying and improving current habits and behaviors. Therapists analyze their client’s past as a tool for understanding present behaviors. The training for therapists is more regulated than coaching, so you’ll want to make sure the coach you work with is experienced and has credentials. You can find mine in my About Tanya page
